Pros

The people at Patriot are very friendly and willing to help you out with what you are working on. You have a high level of autonomy, and your input will be heard.

Cons

Processes change constantly, so it is hard to get into any kind of flow. The company is growing quickly, so the environment is ever-changing. Some devs are kept on call should a major issue come up that needs fixed immediately.

Pros

The people that work here are top notch. All very intelligent and personable. Also, I love how the company does the little things well...parties, lunches, outings, swag, etc. Overall, it's a great place to work.

Cons

Near constant internal reorganization of teams/responsibilities.

Pros

By far, my top pro is the people. There are plenty of options out there, especially as of late, and our employees continually choose to stay here at Patriot. I think that speaks to the culture here as well. We work hard, yes, but we reward hard work with fun activities to unwind. Moreover, Patriot is honestly a great place to work if having a work-life balance is important to you. If this is not important to you, make it so. Expanding on the work side of things a bit more, you really do make a difference day in and day out. You will work on projects that have a direct impact on both internal and external customers and do so with a great team working alongside you. Lastly, the opportunities to advance vertically within your current position or even horizontally are numerous if you are willing to put in the work and these advancements do not take years and years like is the case with a lot of other tech companies. Benefits and other compensation is on point with other tech companies. But again for me, it is the people that make this a great place to work. They are genuinely good people who respect one another, which is hard to find nowadays. Bottom line, work here. You will not regret it.

Cons

Now onto the cons. We have been around awhile but are still very much operating as a startup. This has both ups and downs but a con of this is that you have to be able to adapt to change. Different ways to improve our workflow are still currently being tried and tested in an agile manner and how you operate on a day to day may change quite a bit until everything gets flushed out. This will ultimately be great for the company but again just requires you to be able to adapt to change.
