Pros

Great benefits Unlimited PTO- they guilt you into not taking it but if you can brave through the awkwardness and take it it's great One mental health day a month- which you need to give 2 weeks notice for (because that is how mental health work) either way still better than most companies who doesn't have this.

Cons

Pay very very very low. Barely a living wage, they prey on college graduates, have a high turn over in sales, college graduates, don't be fooled, you can make more money somewhere else. Don't be fooled by commission or promotion structure, it's all lies. You can perform at 200% and still be promoted more than a year later (This is a real example, even though they promise fast promotion for top performers, also doesn't help that it's a woman I am referring to, it's a total boys club) Incredibly micro managing, don't let your teams even show you as away and you're immediately pinged. Make dials constantly or you're seen as unproductive even though they promote "Learning" all BS. They want you to be dialing constantly. I'll take a 15min break and my manager will ping me "what's up" Morning meeting that starts 10min before your start time and evening meeting before end of day. These are useless meetings with the main objective to make sure you are sitting infront of your laptop. Cameras ALWAYS on, professional attire no matter the meeting- even though management does not abide by the same rules. I can keep going on but seriously just think start up culture that's turned toxic and now their BEST people are leaving or the people who left are the people who drank too much of the Koolaid. Business idea isn't even that great since giants are catching up - look at MSP subreddit and search Pax8 people see no difference in them and other major corporations anymore. Makes your sales job so much more difficult. I was also told MULTIPLE times that if I want to o succeed I need to work overtime

Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry you did not have a good experience or feel you were given the support to thrive. Pax8 strives to provide a great culture for all of its employees. Our employees' well-being is our #1 goal, and we are constantly looking at where we are succeeding and what needs improvement. We have raised pay for the Cloud Generation Specialist team two times this year based on feedback like this and from the team that was benchmarked against the industry to ensure we are taking care of our employees and their way of life. We also invest heavily in the professional development of our managers, even before they step into a leadership role, to prepare them to handle what comes their way. If there is more you would like to share, we would be happy to connect. Please feel free to reach out directly to pops@pax8.com.

Pros

-I really enjoyed my coworkers and peers. -Team events were a blast -Fun culture despite working remotely -Good sales experience

Cons

-Underpaid vs industry standard and underpaid vs cost of living in Denver. OTE for a CDR1 is only 60,000. I was promoted twice but my base of 39000 never increased. Inbound role but only get paid if you hit 75% commission (Account Managers still get paid out for hitting 50%). They justify this by offering stock that won't hit your pocket for years. -I felt like I was lied to in my interview. I was told that the company would always prioritize promoting from within, but they massively over-hired outside account managers, severely slowing down promotion paths of employees who came into the company in entry level positions. -Management will talk their way out of this by claiming "things are always subject to change". -Account Managers/Sales side of organization is disrespectful to demand gen side of org (Talk to down to, ignore teams messages, etc.) -Unrealistic quotas -Seem to roll out changes without ever thinking them through or having proper resources in place to make changes successful -Increased roles and responsibilities of position, essentially being turned into account managers for smaller accounts (require more hand holding, often less fruitful), without compensation of being an account manager.

Thank you for your perspective on your experience. We regret that you did not feel heard as employee feedback is highly regarded and sought after through Business Partner meetings with individual teams, Executive Round Table Lunches, our online Suggestion Box, and pulse and employee net promoter score surveys. We will further evaluate our approach to communication and feedback as these are important in our ability to support our employees at the highest possible levels, which is our goal.
