Pros

The company lets you expense lunch, work at your leisure, and is very much employee first.

Cons

Management loves to talk a big game, but doesn't really follow through. Communication from upper management is terrible.

In a fast growth environment we acknowledge we don't always stick the landing on our communications but we are working on investing further in this area and function. Pros

There’s a lot of emphasis on employee wellbeing which i appreciate. Matched 401k and we get stock options. The culture is great but the salary does not match that it keep up with inflation

Cons

SDRs at Pax8 would be Account Representatives at other companies that pay well over six figures for this type of work. We manage accounts, negotiate deals, and help partners make transactions. They say they make up for the salary/commission with their great culture, and it does count for something, but not for the additional 25k i could get somewhere else

Our sales plans are leveraged to provide incentive for Sales Professionals to meet or exceed goals. Our target compensation is benchmarked to similar roles across our industry and we refresh our market comparison data regularly. Great company but losing its focus

Pros

Great work life balance. This company has some of the brightest and most passionate people I have ever met. Very laid back, warm, fun, and casual environment. Good product and a stable company that hasn’t had layoffs in the current tech bloodbath (yet). Cares about employee development and growth.

Cons

It’s deeply concerning that so many teams are under resourced and we keep getting told to tighten our belts during all hands because we aren’t yet profitable and the economy is bad, all the while we’re spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries to bring people on for a “DEI team” that consists of people who hold bigoted and radical ideas (based on their LinkedIn activity feeds), who will add no other value than to check an ESG box and make a few investors happy in the lead up to our IPO. All the while the people keeping the lights on will remain underfunded.

That said, it seems you have concerns about where we might be headed with our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging work. Pax8 today enjoys a very healthy culture, and our aim is to keep it that way. As any company looks to move from start-up to maturity, they must put additional focus on intentional actions to ensure that the culture scales along with the growth of the company. I suspect from your comments that you may have seen other companies struggle to find the right balance with ensuring inclusivity. We are being very mindful in our approach and our goal is to build on what IS working, not to bring in major changes in our culture. Again, thanks for the review.
