      benefits and comps was really good--still be there had they not gone though multiple re-orgs

      Cons

      leadership is generally remote with no connection to staff in Omaha. The leadership is making adjustments every quarter showing instability and uncertainty.

      Pros

      Benefits start day one, room for advancement. You get promoted basically because of the constant hiring they have no choice but to move you up.

      Cons

      Benefits could be better, insurance isn't quality. Constant change, fear of lay offs. Pay is terrible not worth the stress.

      Pros

      Fun, exciting place to work. I learned a ton and got to work on some really cool projects. The people are very smart. Good pay. Top-notch benefits.

      Cons

      Very hard to get promoted. eBay/PayPal uses the horrible "stack ranking" system (google it to learn more.) Everybody I knew was very dedicated and working extremely hard, but the arbitrary rules for performance evaluation demanded that only a small percentage could be recognized/rewarded for excellence. Too many re-orgs, too much politics. Most people were nice, but they were over-shadowed by a handful of abrasive types with big egos. Your experience may be good or bad, depending on which org you're in.
