Pros

Great benefits and compensation packages

Cons

Impossible stats to keep No discretion in how we handle accounts and phone calls They made the stat structure almost impossible to meet just so they don't have to give out as many bonuses. PayPal was in the Top 10 best places to work in Omaha for a few years in a row. In 2011 they we not on the list.

Pros

Currently: - Good Pay - Brand name in town - Nice campus - Friendly, polite and respectful people - Excellent written values and behavior - No parking issues - Supervisors are respectful regardless if is good or bad times - Relax dress code - Subsidized drinks. Pre Q2 of 2010: - All of the above + - Good opportunity for career advancement - Great corporate culture - Consistent changes that took into consideration the impact to production agents but without compromising the bottom line - Fast-paced but relaxed environment with fun challenges - Your individual skills were recognized and you were placed in positions that were more beneficial for the company and yourself - Consistent training to ensure quality - Approachable top management who you can see frequently and they understood the culture of the company. - Management made you feel valuable because they believe every individual has something to contribute - Management was straight forward and trustful. In short period of time you will see the action/result of what they said they were going to do.

Cons

Post Q2 2010 - Constructive criticism are heard but not welcome - When it comes to job performance expectations there is huge gap between hourly and salary employees and worst when salary sit near hourly and you are able to see when they engage in non work related activities. - Individual relevant skills are not longer taken into consideration when it comes to task assignment if you are a non-exempt - Management believes that phone calls is the ultimate solution - Company values and behaviors are fading - Top management give the sense that they are hiding something and using wording that sounds like something but gives them room to change it at the last moment. - No career growth in Omaha but in Chandler despite that management said otherwise. - Job becoming monotonous and degrading - Creative thinkers and big picture viewers could get in trouble. - A lot of politics and red tape when it comes to the creation and implementation of policies. The finish product is an out of touch policy.

Pros

The benefits are PayPal are really great if you take advantage of them. They all start on the first day of employment. 4% - 401K matching, stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement up to 5400 a year. Low cost insurance that will pay for almost anything including in vitro. Casual attire can wear jeans and sneakers. If you don't have a college degree or never been to college this will probable be the best paying job you will be able to find. On the other hand if you did go to college like me and have your BA that will not help you.

Cons

I used to love to work at PayPal I would actually get excited to see the building when I first started working there. Since Meg Whitman left everything has really gone downhill. There aren't any advancement opportunities in Omaha all new jobs are being moved to Chandler Arizona. They actually said that in an company wide email. So why try to harder to advance if there is no where to go? They change their mind so much about things they are like a 14 year old girl changes her crush every other week. They more on to new platforms while the existing one are still broken and need repair. Things have not worked there in years. There are misspelling and bad grammar in the system generated emails we send to our customers that make us look illiterate but no one know who to tell to get that corrected so we all just deal with it. None of the different departments communicate with each other and we waste a lot of manpower correcting mis routing of escalations instead of reaching out and informing them how they are doing things is incorrectly. This is the best we are required to take a consistency test that is part of our metrics that determine our raise. If we get less than a certain percentage we get on docs. The test we took had three wrong answers on it I brought it up to management and they still haven't done anything! What about the person that wrote it? Do they get on docs or does everyone who took it just suffer for the ignorance. Supervisors are very mean. You ask them nicely to fix something you can't fix for 1 month. They say there are going to do it but when you inquire about it about a while they shoot back a nasty email that makes you cry.
