Pros

Good benefits, 401k match but you have to wait a year. 401k also isn't match dollar for dollar but half of what you put in up to a certain percentage.

Cons

Overworked and underpaid. A payroll specialist is the go to for everything in this company, you would expect some appreciation! Paychex is a great concept but unrealistic for specialist when you are carrying over 300 client base. Management sets unrealistic expectations to the clients as well as the sales reps who over sell on products/services they are unfamiliar with, and payroll specialist get the brunt of all the unhappy clients. Especially with the vague surveys, I will also say one of the happiest days of my life was leaving the stress of Paychex behind and moving on to a better company!

Pros

Ethical stable company. Seems to be on the right track product and tech wise. Great benefits.

Cons

Pay is low. Can be very stressful. Some micro management and lack of flexibility. Work life balance can improve. Some areas embrace work from home while others are against it. A lot of change. Sometimes it seems like they are making it up as they go along. Need to improve execution and communication of strategy and changes.
