Pros

Access to a ton of information about payroll. The Flex platform for clients is very well made. Meet great people like clients and some coworkers. Trips every year for top performers. Before COVID held occasional happy hours.

Cons

Very unorganized and often unprofessional; onboarding was nonexistent and it put me in a sticky situation with my health insurance because no one at the company walked me through the “paychex process”. You have manager but you are your own manager because often times when you ask a question the answer is “I don’t know” Lack of innovation; this is a company that is too big to fail so they have no incentive to innovate themselves and would rather buy out other companies that are changing the market. So this job can be very boring if you like modernization. High turnover, this position requires movement of reps either up or out and depending on your manager they will rather get rid of you then put in work to help improve you. Some of the more tenured reps can be stuck up and unwilling to help if you ask for advice. A tenured rep can be someone who has been with the company for over 5 years or in many cases 6 +months depending on the team which speaks to the very high rate of turnover. Clients/partners see this and can be put off by it. You will be encouraged to fluff anyway you can to get a sale. Often times your clients, once they sign on, will be left hanging and you will be encouraged to look past them to focus on getting more clients instead of helping them solve their problem.

Pros

Working there looks good on your resume that is about it.

Cons

culture is bad, they hire managers from the outside instead of promoting from within as a punishment to the sales reps.
