Pros

Average benefits, rah rah culture when you start, fades extremely quickly. Lots of tenure with senior management, sales is a turnover machine

Cons

Horrific management, terrible treatment of existing clients, no communication between silos, cult like behavior with senior management. No real income potential, I was completely lied to about year one OTE. Base salary is poverty level and that’s all you will make unless you come from within the industry. Micromanagement is the worst I’ve ever seen. Consistently asked to use scare tactics on existing clients to try and frighten them into an ancillary service they don’t need. Their sales force turns over every 6 months, they don’t value people at all. DON’T get duped and leave a legit career for this company!!!

Pros

Substantial training, good name recognition, understanding and lenient with rookies, national call center assists with appointment setting. This is a company you can move up in, especially if you are willing to relocate.

Cons

Highly reactive at the corporate level and makes sweeping changes under duress from their stockholders without any consideration for the impact on the staff (and even more notably, the client). Service is plummeting, they keep adding sales divisions to add to their bottom line, but bombard every new customer with endless sales calls. Impossible to get current client referrals because nobody wants to put their friends in a position to get hammered by telemarketers. Accountants don’t want to refer Paychex because we poach their wealth management, and brokerage partnerships. The core sales division is getting virtualized and segmented into smaller market spaces, but asked to deliver more new clients year over year. The culture is disintegrating around us and we all want our managers to win, because they are generally good, but they have no shot at quota when the sales team members are abandoning ship before they drown. Pros

Great coworkers, 40 hour week guaranteed, PTO

Cons

Underpaid, overworked, changes made by management will usually make your day harder instead of easier and they will combine departments so your doing 2 people's work without a raise
