Pros

Excellent benefits including Medical, FSA, 401k match. Bonuses twice a year. Good pay if you stay here for a long time if you can last. Raises every year.

Cons

Anonymous in California. I cannot post my real city for fear of my job. Unprofessional work environment and management. Very high call volume, high stress environment. High client count per CSR in Major Market Services. Everyone in my group has stated they hate their job. We try to make light of our stress but its hard to stay positive, even the supervisors are burned out. You are buried with tasks and projects more and more every day. Overtime is not allowed except for year end. They will not hire enough reps to alleviate some of the stress and workloads because corporate controls how many reps per client count regardless of how large the accounts are. Training is terrible here. Once you complete the initial Web Ex and corporate basic training, you may be paired with a wonderful mentor if available or no mentor at all. Its so busy, its hard for your mentor to stop for too long to help you, in between the high volume calls and projects. I've been here a long time working really hard and I have no job satisfaction and hardly any appreciation from higher management. There is a high employee turnover rate and job dissatisfaction. You have to maintain a 95% on your survey scores or they will threaten to fire you. You are encouraged to make sure you tell your clients to give the branch an overall A on the surveys or it will go against you. If your surveys scores are B or lower, its the equivalent to a D or an F. Corporate lowered the budget for branch employee events and as a result, there will be no more year end parties.

Pros

This review is specifically for the Dallas-Irving Branch. Let it be known: The 3 star rating on the compensation/benefits section is for the benefit package ONLY! Definitely not for the compensation. This is honestly the worst company I have ever worked for for the following reasons. First off, they reel you in with high hopes and golden standards that they have a great training program. in all reality, what you learn on your all paid trip to Rochester NY is NOTHING and I mean NOTHING in comparison to what you will have to do when you return. There is no planned support structure for how to train its employees when you return from school. The expected way of learning is a "scavenger hunt" style of training. you have to find whoever is the least busy and willing to help you on, sometimes, very complex issues. from technical support to tax issues. Clients always have different representatives because the turnover runs rampant thru the center The client service reps have a "idc" mentality b/c you cant get fired and the pay is too low. The supervision is a complete joke. you have supervisors "leading" who have corporate complaints and no clue as how to lead a team. When I say everyone is miserable...I mean everyone. I honestly would recommend this job to anyone, not even my worst enemy. the only way I would recommend this job is if someone was absolutely desperate for work or if someone needed some decent benefits. Management seems to blame the turnover on "b/c the job is difficult to learn". uhm, no that is not it. it is the lack of support, horrible attitudes from superiors/co workers, and getting the load of work you are supposed to do, and realizing that you are truly not being compensated fairly to teach others how to use a system and they are making three times a much as what we make. Until there are some radical changes made in pay and leadership, the diseased turnover will continue to run rampant.

Pros

Stable company. Decent benefits. As of recent have good access to technology, tools, and equipment.

Cons

I agree with a couple of other reviews. The software development side of the house is a mess. Development techniques are dated and produce software built for the 1980's. It's managed poorly. If you work in test you sit around idle most of the time and then for one week everything is a crisis. There are too many managers and leaders who cannot get out of the past. There are a lot of good developers and even more bad ones. It takes us 5 times as many programmers to create code that's substandard and not up to the times. Expect to either spend your time twiddling your thumbs or in a crisis being sworn and yelled at by irrational leaders who would never survive in a modern software development organization. If you want to work in IT, work in an area outside of software development and testing. There is so much bureaucracy and process here that it slows down everything. It's impossible to do anything without it getting embroiled in committee. When we complain about process, they even create process to eradicate process. Most of our management lives in meetings and comes out of them with little or nothing to show except more ways to inhibit real work
