Pros

Potential to earn a comfortable amount of money.

Cons

- use your own car, no gas/toll reimbursement - use your own cell, no work/life boundaries - very typical to well work past 9-5 and weekends in order to stay afloat with workload - no office culture, no diversity - shady CEO - so much work politics - success is mostly dependent on territory

Our organization supports functions that are essential to our clients’ daily operations, which requires a consistent standard of execution and clearly defined expectations across roles. We understand that operating within a high-performance environment can be challenging to navigate and we work hard to ensure that expectations are communicated clearly and that team members are equipped with the resources needed to continue to deliver world-class service. We recognize the commitment required to perform at this level and our compensation structure is designed to acknowledge both the dedication and hard work. Pros

The company values enthusiasm over competence, so if you are enthusiastic and stay off of their administrative checklists, you can be successful. They do a good job focusing on gifting and spending money on clients.

Cons

I learned the hard way that most of the reviews on Glassdoor are true. Upper management is chaotic and reactive. There is a constant fear of losing your job that starts in training and never goes away. I have never seen so much turnover in a company before. They would rather replace you than work with you. Unfortunately, clients feel as mismanaged as employees do. Every single client has a terrible onboarding experience and constantly complains about the turnover with their specialists. The position I had focuses on upselling, but truly, you are trying to fix problems from their implementation, which prohibits sales. It’s a very service oriented role, even though you are not supposed to be providing service.

Our structure, expectations and operating models are shaped by defined performance standards and the responsibilities required to meet them. As priorities shift and responsibilities evolve, leaders are expected to provide direction, set clear standards and ensure teams are equipped to execute effectively. Accountability at all levels includes maintaining clarity around role expectations and decision making. Client experience remains a core priority, which is why we follow a structured approach supported by role-specific training, established service ownership and continuity practices designed to promote long-term client success. We remain focused on strengthening leadership effectiveness, providing development opportunities and delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for both employees and clients. Your experience doesn’t align with our expectations, and we’d like to learn more. Please reach out to us at hrmgmt@paycomonline.com.
