Pros

You get paid on time Coworkers are solid because trauma bonds fast

Cons

Leadership makes constant changes with no plan and no follow-through Managers mock and publicly shame employees instead of managing High performers are exploited until they quit, get pushed out, or mentally shut down Swing shift is treated like a dumping ground for everyone else’s unfinished work Overtime turns into an argument even when it is fully justified Employees get called out for being slow while leadership causes the delays Promotions are dangled, delayed for months, and used as manipulation Demotions are a thing Upper leadership has a reputation for being fake and dishonest for a reason The product is slow, buggy, and embarrassing to stand behind Customers openly say they were lied to and regret buying Company is accurately known as a sweatshop Morale is nonexistent and burnout is normalized

Pros

The opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and continuously learn is excellent. Immediate leadership is knowledgeable, supportive, and understanding.

Cons

Upper leadership operates in a silo, frequently contradicting middle and lower management with sweeping changes while expecting them to enforce compliance. The workload often extends beyond regular hours, and now the company has mandated a full-time return to office with messaging that makes it clear: comply or leave. Promotions are unreliable—even when leadership promises them. The company consistently takes without giving back, and nearly every month, another benefit disappears.

We strive to maintain a clear understanding of expectations across all levels of the organization, ensuring that our team members are informed and equipped to succeed in their roles. We acknowledge that change can be challenging and understand that our evolving environment may not be the best fit for everyone. However, we trust that being on campus unites our teams by providing a work environment for ample collaboration and innovation. We strongly encourage you to initiate a conversation with your leader or hrmgmt@paycomonline.com to discuss your feedback further.
