Pros

They do an amazing job of keeping Eddie’s in business

Cons

Paycom doesn’t care about their employees or their employees mental health and families. Paycom recently decided to go back in person full time and gave their employees one month to get their lives in order to do so. People are without child care and now are having to spending more money and time trying to find/have it, among other obstacles, in an already unstable time/environment. The cherry on top is they did this after they received their awards for top workplace and others they don’t deserve. We are severely underpaid and over worked and the morale no longer exists. The organization of the company is nonexistent. They will press you with impossible deadlines and get mad when you don’t meet them. They drown workers with clients and force you to eat inedible food from the same restaurant every single day. If you step out of line or try to express unfair treatment you will be reprimanded. Paycom is essentially a sweat shop. Please think twice on any decisions to make this your new work home.

Pros

Great people to work with. Communication among my team is fantastic.

Cons

Predatory dev points system. Catered lunches (which come out of your paycheck) you'd be better skipping. Sleazy management. Details below. Yesterday we had a meeting for the entire Tech department over zoom. Chat was disabled. Facecams were disabled, except for management speaking. I guess it's a lot easier to deliver a slap in the face to employees when you don't have to see their faces or hear their voices. Management announced that we are ending remote work (which Paycom has been doing SUCCESSFULLY for the past 3 years). The reason? "We're seeing a little slippage. Nothing major." Will we still use zoom for meetings? "Yes, I actually prefer Zoom" -CIO. Now how will this move improve communication when teams still have half of their members in OKC and half in Dallas? How will things be any different if we're still using Zoom for all meetings? Not to mention the timing. Immediately after Paycom is announced as a top workplace in Oklahoma for the 10th year in a row. Funny how that works. The timeframe for this massive change from 4 days remote/1 in office to fulltime in office? 1 month if you're QA. 1 month. During the holidays. With not even rumors of this move before it was announced. Good luck. Now I haven't been here long. But one of the main selling points of my recruiter was the hybrid schedule. There was no indication this would change. It's one of the main reasons I accepted the job. It's one of the things I brag about about my job. I have zero desire to move to a big city. For my one day a week in office I commute an hour and a half to a friend's house the night before. We then commute 45 minutes there and depending on traffic an hour and a half back. Now instead of having to spend one day a week in a place I don't want to be, I may have to spend upwards of 5. My reward for all of this? Benefits, salary increase to offset travel and additional costs? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I get to keep a job. I feel as though I was sold a false bill of goods. Way to crush the trust I had and the culture I was beginning to buy into. Paycom is just as disgusting as all of these other corporations. They view us all as expendable. They even locked comments on the Confluence page where employees were expressing concern. Absolutely disgusting.

Mass firings on the down low

Pros

Look at who's writing The positive reviews and when. They are designed to offset the negatives.

Cons

There's been a recent spare of firings with zero warning. Ppl have been here for years and are fired without warning, notice or written reprimand. Most immediate dismissals are reserved for serious infraction. You will get fired at paycom after years of service for one trivial thing that happened months ago, and there will be no warning. You're just gone. No one will discuss the events. We are expected to just carry on knowing we might be next.
