Pros

I believe the vast majority of sales force is entirely bought in to our solution- truly is the best product in our space for medium sized organizations. Paycom provided top tier learning & development. Leadership consistently speaks to the fast pace and "time compression to reach peak performance" expectation which is a valuable concept if executed properly.

Cons

Most would agree the environment is borderline unhealthy but have been led to believe Paycom's the only sales organization who compensates at the level they do. Folks, take a look at the number of other organizations who are willing to compensate equally as high, if not higher: LinkedIn, UltiPro, Oracle, SalesForce, SAP, BAIRD) Paycom fosters a Revenue MANDATED environment versus Revenue FOCUS and eventually as a result, Paycom will pay a very high price for lost talent. Let's break it down... A revenue mandated environment prevents the sales force from taking the essential time needed to develop product/industry knowledge. (No, one week at corporate as well as secondary training does not suffice). Can you still be successful in this type of environment? Yes, but you're more likely to plateau and take your talent elsewhere at Paycom's expense. This idea significantly impacts internal resources as well as the customer experience. Revenue should be a focus, if your team is consistently developing then the numbers will show for themselves. THE GOLDEN HANDCUFFS Wide spread analogy among Paycom's sales force. Reps acknowledge the atmosphere Paycom's sales leaders have built is detrimental to their well being (12-15 hour work days, consistently reminded their jobs at risk, rev gen 8-5pm set up new clients 5-10pm, 6 PTO days a year....)

There is no doubt regarding the high demands of our sales positions and the great rewards, benefits, and compensation that result from the hard work and ultimate success. These positions will not always be an ideal fit for everyone and we understand. To be clear, Paycom’s vacation policy is 10 days of accrued vacation in the first year and five sick days. We will share your feedback with the leadership team and hope to see you use your intellect and business acumen to constructively offer ways to improve upon our winning strategy. We encourage you to share your ideas with your sales manager or HR Business Partner.

Pros

Nice Benefits, good environment, leader care about your development within the company, many growth opportunities

Cons

- Vacation time is very low, there's no additional paid time off like the Friday after Thanksgiving or the week in between Christmas holidays, like many other big companies of the state. - No opportunities to work from home, even when your job shouldn't require you completely to be in the office.
