Pros

The best part of my experience at Paycom was having the opportunity to be trained by the infamous Jeff York, Chief Sales Officer. Jeff is so incredibly passionate about Paycom and preparing people for success. I really appreciate him sharing personal experiences, and putting his all in to training the employees during the on-site training in Oklahoma.

Cons

I'm sad to say the cons outweigh the pros. I was very thrilled to start a career at Paycom, only to then go through a very immature training program. We were treated and spoken to like young children, and in my eyes that only sets up your employees for failure. If you are training individuals to be sales executives, it would be a good idea to treat them as such. The training itself has a lot of valuable information, which I will note was incredibly insightful and helpful. However, with the lack of management at the office I was in, I felt as though I was not being set up for success. The only thing that made my days somewhat enjoyable were the others in my office who blasted music just to get through the day.

Our employees’ feedback is paramount to our success and one of the reasons why we place such an emphasis on our employee survey results. Every survey is meticulously reviewed by members of our senior management team and actions are taken based on those results. We have reviewed your feedback regarding our training program and based on our pre-corporate training survey results we did not find supporting sentiments. In fact, nearly all of our representatives defined our sales training sessions as “positive and productive”, and the material trained on as “very informative.” Our elite training program, as you described, has “a lot of valuable information” and is “insightful and helpful”, but it is not for everyone. The sessions require a high degree of self-discipline and ability to be resourceful, which are quality attributes of successful sales executives. Paycom challenges its employees, and with those challenges come unlimited opportunities for career growth. We are continually evaluating our processes to ensure our employees are top of mind and successful. We wish you the best of luck.

Pros

Ability to make great money and can be good if you have good sales manager.

Cons

A bit of a burn and churn mentality. Typical sales role though and reasonable expectations. Perform and you are good.

Pros

Paycom is a rapidly growing company. They're also very picky about the people they hire. They're looking for people with solid stability who are smart and positive. From the first time I talked to a recruiter on the phone, they were very transparent about what the job entails. They told me about black out dates for vacation, overtime at year end, and anything else that might be perceived as "negative" in relation to the job. I have been in the workforce for several years, so I understand you have to work to get what you want. I've seen several reviews stating people are underpaid. I can't disagree more. This role gives me the chance to make $50,000+ in 2 years. There aren't a lot of jobs in Oklahoma that allow that kind of opportunity. I saw this statement in a review- They promise high pay at first, but you later learn that to earn the high pay you have to do a TON of work- and it made me cringe. Of course you have to work hard to make money. It's not just given to you! Paycom is a good company with a lot of opportunity. Yes things change as you grow. I would be worried if they didn't. If you're looking for a good career and a chance to make good money quickly, this is the place.

Cons

-Mandatory overtime around the holidays (good pay though!) -Vacation accrues slowly in the first year
