Too Much Stress, Not Enough Pay - Dallas OPS Location

Pros

Great moral with GREAT Team Leads in the Dallas office. Plenty of work incentives like almost free healthcare for employees (though the plans not that great, you can't complain much when you only pay $1). Free meals are frequent and lots of Paycom swag.

Cons

LOW LOW LOW pay for Dallas location, not competitive and 100% lower than the national average according to glassdoor. No real growth opportunity past a senior specialist in Dallas. Paycom's response to another Dallas employee was that they have a leveling up program, though that levels out at Senior Specialist. It said to talk to their TL, though that's been done many times with nothing but a "sorry, that's how it is". Expect 10 hour work days (there's those free lunches). These are not only during busy times here. Many specialists eat lunch at their desks most days of the week, come in early and stay late.

Thank you for your service at our Dallas location. We agree that Paycom has great employees, both in our Dallas office and across the nation. We believe our comp structure is highly competitive and is in-line with the department of labor’s data. We recognize your concerns and will pass these onto members of our senior leadership team. Thank you for all that you do to make Paycom great!

Pros

Just finished training and so impressed with how much time and effort this company invests in their new employees - especially their new sales reps. The training program, the director of training, the team and managers did their very best to ensure we had all the tools to be successful in the field. They really do try to make training fun. Especially during the last week at corporate! You are able to meet your training class in person and everyone becomes really close by the end of the week. Everyone in my training class was AWESOME! and we all loved our trainer. She did an amazing job preparing us for this job and had very realistic and clear expectations. They want to know our dreams and goals both personally and professionally and they want to help us achieve them! The office managers and regional managers I have met so far are really impressive and my biggest fans. Its exciting to be apart of a company who truly cares about my success as much as I do! There are also BIG TIME opportunities for growth and advancement and the commission plan is awesome. So thankful.

Cons

This job involves hard work - especially while you are in training. The hours are long and its a lot of information in a short amount of time which can be overwhelming but the expectations are clear from the start. Everyone was willing to help or answer any questions I had during training. Also there aren't a lot of vacation days during the first year but that's pretty standard
