Pros

Lots of employee moral boosting events. Great product. Steady paycheck and great benefits! One on ones with management monthly.

Cons

I was told there would be frequent opportunities for growth. After constantly receiving great feedback, there was never any growth for me or anyone on my team. Very stressful work environment.

Pros

Paycom has completely changed the game when it comes to hiring and training employees. The time and effort that they put into training their employees is unprecedented in many ways. This training creates the impeccable culture that you are bombarded with right from the start. Every employee here is genuinely passionate about what they do and it shines throughout the whole organization. It is absolutely incredible how you are not only a family in your location, but at corporate as well. You may hear negative comments about Paycom and read negative reviews, but when thought about, aren't all negative directed comments towards something or someone sourced through failure or unhappiness? No this is not an easy job. No this is not a cakewalk to making a ton of money. No you are not going to have 100% happy experiences. Now - with that being said... People who love what they do and have their dream jobs still go through rough times. Yes you can make a ton of money if you work hard and truly see the growth they put in front of you. Yes you will times that frustrate you, but doesn't everything else have that effect as well? Bluntly put - this job is not for you if you cannot see yourself working hard to create the amount of success that you want. However, if you are obsessed with success, an infectious culture, and seek a company with incredible growth that has not even been tapped into yet. Paycom is for you Their training alone is worth coming to this job. They train you how to be an executive, not only for this job, but for your life as a whole. 1/160 people get hired and this is one of the top 11 hardest companies to get into. There is a reason for that. Just take an interview and you will see why. They have built this organization to run smoother than a well oiled locomotive. I could keep going on, but I will sign off here.

Cons

Not a con. Just a fact. Training is VERY intensive - for a very justified reason. Being an executive does not happen overnight.

Pros

My experience at Paycom has been incredible from start to finish. From my Recruiter, to my Sales Manager, to our Director of Sales Training, and everyone in between. Their level of professionalism is unmatched and they've provided me with an experience that I'll be able to take with for a lifetime. The training process was really everything I was looking for in a sales career as our Director of Sales Training had a very strong impact on me both professionally and personally. She pushed us to get better every day, challenged us if we didn't know an answer, and encouraged us through the tough times where we thought we might not be able to figure something out. My Sales Manager is compassionate, motivating and driven and really cares for her employees. My Recruiter was an absolute pleasure to work with and was there to answer any questions that I had along the way. She made herself available at any given moment and gave me a very realistic view of what my position would entail. It quickly becomes apparent why this company has seen such tremendous growth not only because of the great product, but because the way they find, grow, and develop their talent. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to work for such an amazing company in Paycom.

Cons

The hardest part for me, personally, was the concept of time compression in terms of the pace that you learn. Paycom really expects their employees to get up and running by retaining a lot of information at a very fast pace. You need to be willing to put the work in to be able to be successful in this role. If you aren't willing to put the work and front-end time in, then this job might not be for you. Ultimately, it will benefit you in the long run, but the perseverance and dedication needed to succeed is an expectation that needs to be met if you think this career path is for you!
