Disappointing Experience Despite Great Teammates

The best part of working at Paycom was the people on my immediate team. I met some amazing coworkers and made friendships that have lasted even after leaving the company. The majority of my team members were hardworking, kind, and supportive! They truly made the experience worthwhile. Lastly, their diversity & inclusion was great.

Cons

"Allegedly" Unfortunately, the overall environment was toxic, especially coming from directors and upper leadership. The culture didn’t match the values the company promotes publicly, which was really disappointing. My time and work often felt overlooked, and the role became tedious without much recognition. On my specific team, we had to notify everyone on teams when we when to use the restroom, and our time was closely monitored... which was odd considering how invasive that seems. One of the most discouraging things I heard from leadership was that “to make it in leadership here, you probably need to be single or not have a family.” That comment alone spoke volumes about the culture and work-life balance expectations.

Great people, some of the best you will ever work with! Good on-campus benefits and located in a good spot

Cons

Upper management constantly making changes; layed off 500+ people on a whim. Constantly worrying if job will still be in place.
