Workload and work-life balance are not a priority and your job stability is always at risk. Department is unstable and unreliable. Job turnover is high.

Pros

Incredible pay for the area (Oklahoma) Cheap benefits for single individuals

Cons

Leadership chose to lay off 70% of the QA department and make developers test their own code. Not only is this shortsighted (bugs will go up substantially, quality down, dev timelines way slower), but it's also a major change of job responsibilities. Make no mistake, interviewing for a dev here now means interviewing for being a QA too. Leadership does not know how to improve current market cap/situation, and is inexperienced -- making poor decision after poor decision and then walking it back when it inevitably does not work.
