Another irrational decision

Pros

Benefits and 401k retirement and colleagues

Cons

Here we go again, Paycom focusing on the wrong priorities. Besides daily badge swipe monitoring even if you’re salary, they now don’t want you to wear jeans AT ALL except Fridays in the office. Why not just enforce current policy which is NO SHORTS/Yoga pants in the office instead of making everyone buy new wardrobe, why are we forced to dress up for those in field offices, for who, other internal teams?

We encourage you to engage in a discussion regarding this feedback with your leader and HR Business Partner who can provide you with guidance. Pros

- $4 Catered lunch every day - Amazing Healthcare and Benefits packages - Best coworkers and direct managers I've ever had - Upward mobility with no degree required

Cons

With the above you're probably wondering why I gave this place 1 star, right? Buckle in because almost everything good at Paycom is a lie. Prepare for endless hours of grueling overtime, ever-increasing metrics, new processes that upend your work with little to no warning. Get used to your current assignment? Get caught up on the backlog? Well shoot, Bob just left us with a huge backlog that's now yours! Now get back on that grind! Did your TL or manager just praise your work? Oof, sorry, upper management got the company into another class action lawsuit, so next week it's time to tighten the belt and crack down on and increase metrics again! Casual dress code? Sure it was like that last week, but the CEO saw someone in an outfit he didn't like so now the company demands you drop hundreds of dollars on the new 'business professional' dress code by next Monday; no reimbursements or compensation! Don't get me started on the pay. Almost all of Paycom's competitors pay the same if not more while offering better pay and similar benefits if you don't count the food.

As an organization that prioritizes work-life balance and wellness, we encourage team members to take breaks and have open conversations with leadership about their workloads. We take pride in our comprehensive compensation philosophy, which encompasses not only salary but also various additional benefits and incentives. We understand that change can be difficult, but we believe this adjustment will develop and build our team’s personal and professional brand. Our leadership wants to ensure that all team members feel valued, seen and heard. We encourage you to have an honest conversation with your leader or HR Business Partner.
