Pros

hybrid environment they have good benefits like $1 health insurance

Cons

they are not loyal to their employees at all, i just got fired along with with 100 devs (allegedly) for WFH on office days for a few days throughout the year for health related issues (with no warnings or nothing). after their stock dropped in Q4 they were just looking for any reason to get rid of employees instead of fixing the actual issue. work is very stressful and you will spend months looking at the same module just to understand what's going on, and once you think you are comfortable with the code and feel like you can solve any problem they will fire you for their benefits, it's honestly sad how they can do that to you. pay is relatively low they always promise something and change up when it benefits them. always remember HR is not for the people

Pros

If I can be honest, I had no pros I could give, none, zero, zilch. I dreaded every day I had to work. I couldnt tell you what was the worst part of working there --the commute to the horribly backed up office in OKC which made you late every morning, the abysmal pay and promotion tiering, the fact that no one ever looked happy working there, the outdated.... excruciatingly outdated... software (please just work at a modern company so you can see how lightyears behind this place is). Once their tech stack phases out, this company is toast. Theres an entire department of low paying manual QA positions -- this shouldve been replaced with automation engineers about 5 years ago.

Cons

Truly, the worst company in tech i have ever worked for and will work for, bar none. if you have ever traveled outside of the south and seen any of the benefits any tech company gives its employees, you'll see how evil it is to be fooled by Paycoms lowball salaries they pay their poor, suffering employees that have to work in those gray cubes day in day out. this company does everything so glaringly obvious to "believe" in whatever bleak culture theyre trying to sell to the young, impressionable staff they churn through. I dont think anyone outside of Oklahoma understands how embarrassing it is to have this company on a resume because no one takes an archaic company like this seriously anymore in 2022, where companies actually have modern hiring practices, treat their employees well, etc. This company plagues the poor employees with t-shirts and useless swag instead of cutting those costs and pay their people a fair wage. I think when I left around the 1.2 year mark, I tossed about 20 shirts that never saw the light of day.

Pros

I can't think of a single pro.

Cons

The company culture at Paycom is an instant red flag. At first I believed this was just a New York City problem, but this is a country wide issue. The real root is leadership. The company only promotes from within- the managers and regionals that are put in place have a HORRIBLE track record. They are usually compromised of the "top sales rep of the year"- these individuals are not meant for management. They are meant to run their show independently and mind their business. However, they are given a platform to lead and have horrible training and managerial experience. This then trickles down to the reps and the ridiculous expectations set from above. The metrics are impossible to meet, there is barely any training given as a new hire and on top of everything- NO SUPPORT. You are literally told to "sink or swim". They lure you in with a high base salary and tell you can make MILLIONS- which is a flat out lie. The sales process takes months if not over a year and most times we lose to our giant and more AFFORDABLE competitors. Just not worth selling. This places straight up sucks. No work life balance. Our days would start at 8am and would not end until at least 7pm or sometimes even 8 or 9pm. I can honestly keep going. Just please when you see this- don't believe it's just one disgruntled ex-employee. This is a very common experience for people who leave the organization.
