Pros

In IT, employees can work from home two days a week after their first 60 days of employment. People are hardworking though grumpy and disgruntled due to the heavy workload. Pay seems competitive but is not worth it.

Cons

Extremely stressful environment with inept management, poor work-life balance, high turnover, below average benefits and little time off. This was the most dysfunctional and toxic position I've ever held. It always feels like everything is going 100 mph. After the first year, you get 17 days of paid time off but that would include vacation, sick, and personal time. 401(k) matching is very poor. There is little training about the zillions of systems paycor has (all of which seem to have problems that no one seems interested in fixing long-term). The company is now outsourcing IT jobs to India claiming the idea is not to eliminate jobs but make IT more flexible. Of course, no one's going to tell you you're job will be eliminated down the road, and the new CIO was behind outsourcing at Convergys that led to the elimination of a lot of positions there and was a disaster. Employees constantly point fingers and throw each other under the bus. Very chilly coworkers who act annoyed or too busy if you ask for any guidance or direction on the spaghetti code they've written. Instead of asking for feedback, management will read your chats and emails secretly. Very little empowerment for employees, and you feel like just a warm body. A recent employee satisfaction survey from the company came back with less than 25% of employees satisfied and willing to recommend Paycor as a place to work. If you want to be overworked and underappreciated, this is the place for you!
