Pros

good base...decent commissions...very much a micro manage atmosphere

Cons

Very small office...weak local leadership. Local manager doesnt make decisions on hiring or firing. Manager essentially runs reports and did nothing to help sales people. Didnt help with implementation or taking workload off so i could have focused on selling. 5 new appointments are required every week. Obsurd and negative goal as reps scramble for BAD appointments because they need to show 5 new appointments. Benefit plan is weak. Employees are not appreciated or recognized. Heard from ex-Paycor reps that they left after making platinum club many years in a row and were fired or chose to leave because they were never appreciated.

Pros

Base salary is higher than the major competition. CPA Care is very supportive when partnering with CPA's for referrals

Cons

Managment is more concearned with the number of appointment held rather than the quality/results of your appointments. Negative / Back stabbing environment.. Co-workers are as much of your compeition as ADP and Paychex. Zero loyalty to employees, more so than any other sales position. Regardless of the number of successful years you have sold for Paycor, if you have a few bad months, you will be gone. Be prepared to be micro-managed. The company philosophy is that if employees don't like it, they must be hiding something. Excessive reporting.
