Pros

Great Company, benefits, Co-workers. Its an amazing environment where they really care about us as employees and while the work is not always easy they do a good job at making sure that we are happy and have a good work life balance. This company actually cares about the employees and goes out of their way for us to make sure daily we have coffee and fresh fruit. They do a lot of team building events and fully take advantage of any opportunity to tell us how much they appreciate us up to and including buying us lunch. I have been working here for a few months and can truly say the environment is second to none. Paylocity is growing and a great place to get your foot in the door to a very lucrative market and gain valuable experience.

Cons

Year end can be very busy and intimidating if payroll is not your background and this job does require the ability to multitask and be very organized. if these are strong qualities for you than you are good to go.

Year end IS difficult: we all know it. An Account Manager does difficult and very important work and we are so glad to have such an amazing Lake Mary team!

Pros

1. Understanding & Supportive Supervisors -- first time in a while that I was treated like an adult with critical thinking stills 2. Resources made available whenever possible -- dual screens baby! Additionally, project time is allotted to everyone. 3. Reasonable performance metrics -- unlike other customer support companies, Paylocity balances advocating for the client with timeliness, so they expect expediency and efficiency, but not in a way that feels like some shadowy overlord is breathing down the back of your neck with a stop watch and a long check list of stupid ineffective things your supposed to say to the client (Convergys, I'm looking in your direction) 4. Small to Mid-sized feel -- I feel like a name instead of a number. 5. Clean environment -- nice break areas, and even recycling! 6. Pleasant Location 7. Good base pay 8. Frequent employee appreciation days 9. HR is located in the same building, not half-way across the world (Convergys, I'm looking in your direction) 10. Currently a lot of upward mobility 11. Weekends off and a consistent work schedule that you can have a life around. (Convergys, you are absolutely terrible at that)

Cons

Mild fear that as it grows, the company may bend to unreasonable shareholder expectations and succumb to corporatocratic apathy and numbers-hyperfocusing

Pros

Growing technology company. Senior management is really behind the Agile transformation that started about a year and a half ago. Friendly, helpful colleagues and not a lot of obvious politics. Good work/life balance with the opportunity to work from home twice a week. Not a lot of red tape to get the tools and technology that you need. Excellent 401k and Employee Stock Purchase Plan and twice a year bonuses. Professional Development allowance each year for training classes or conferences. Lots of business growth potential in the marketplace should make the company viable for years to come.

Cons

While the best talent anywhere policy is great, it is sometimes hard to get used to working with remote teammates and coordinating across different time-zones etc. Occasionally work will fall into "have to get it done" instead of following true agile practices. Depending on the product and team, could be working with older technology and architecture. Some sub-par benefits, PTO time is lower than at other companies I work at (although the wfh does help offset that a bit), health insurance premiums are a little high, company paid for life insurance is less than 1x salary, and have to pay for part of own short-term disability insurance. Getting bonuses are nice, but no visibility into how they are calculated.
