Pros

None. This place works you to the bone and expects you to take hundreds of calls a week and be an accountant/tax expert but does not pay you to be one

Cons

Gives new people way more money than the people that have suffered for years here. Leads and manament got bonuses last year while account managers got nothing. This year the new people are getting double, if not triple, the Merritt increase that tenured account managers are getting. This company is a joke and if I didn't have a kid and mortgage to worry about, I'd be long gone

Pros

They do try to send lots of “swag.”

Cons

Don’t let training fool you. The culture is far from family. I felt no support from my leaders once on the floor, despite the fact we were told in training that we will always have people to reach out to. My coworkers pulled the weight of transitioning us while leadership made little to no effort to contact or check in. We were promised dedicated mentors in training which’s turned into meetings with 12 people fighting to get in questions to one coworker. Leadership pops in for two minutes maximum to check on your progress, and disregards or pushes off requests for help. Your trainers will tell you to reach out to your Team Lead if you ever need anything, good luck. You’ll learn your best bet is your coworkers. Leadership cares about the image, not you.

Pros

Love the culture, the people I work with and my leads and managers. Everyone in client services has been working really hard to get through the craziness of the last year.

Cons

Unrealistic work expectations. As an account manager, I’m the only one at Paylocity that talks to clients. No other teams pick up the phone and talks to clients. So what does that mean? I’m taking over 30 calls and emails a day. And I’m switching between calls and emails all day long, making it almost impossible to focus on one thing at a time. And you want me to answer all my emails in 4 hours and attend trainings and meetings, and learn all the new products we release and give great customer service? When do I have the time? It’s an unreasonable amount of work to expect from employees. No wonder why people are quitting or everyone who stays says it’s too much work. I’ve been here for a while and I see it getting worse each year.
