Pros

Had some great co-workers who really cared about exceeding achievements and milestones.

Cons

Toxic leadership Poor communication Fear based culture Low pay You’ll work at least two jobs Sales is disrespectful No W/L balance You will learn things here at a rapid pace that will help you grow professionally at the detriment to your mental and physical health. If the pace doesn’t break you your manager certainly will. It doesn’t matter if you are a top performer. It doesn’t matter if you meet every single deadline and exceed performance goals.

Pros

Good pay. Employee stock purchase program.

Cons

Even with their stock at a high and a 25% increase in revenue year over year during the pandemic, they nixed 401k match and merit increases in order to "not lay anyone off". Personally It was just an excuse to push profits so that they could exceed their projections.

Thank you for your feedback. At the start of the pandemic, Paylocity’s Executive Team communicated the goal of keeping all employees employed throughout the hardships of the pandemic. We’re proud to announce that we have been able to reinstate the 401k match and merit for all employees as of April 2021. We have also been able to provide employees with a spot-bonus for all of their efforts and contributions amidst the pandemic as well as increased PTO. It’s important to us that we continue to put employees first and be transparent with all decisions and business updates. Continue to watch the Exec QA and Community for additional updates.

Pros

The people I work with are all focused on delivering a quality product to our customers. Great partnership and hard working individuals throughout the organization. Frequent bonuses, standard benefit packages, cool offices and fun swag. Huge party/drinking culture if that’s what you’re into.

Cons

Paylocity likes to market itself as a progressive company at the forefront of diversity and inclusion with a welcoming environment. If you’re cis, white and play golf you’ll go far here. Is there a new job opening and you have little to no experience but you know the VP or director for that department? No problem, you're hired! Sure the regular workforce is diverse and they send their token POC managers to recruiting events and public conferences but that’s about it. Executives are mostly white and male. Little minority representation in senior leadership. Seriously, look at Linked In to try to find a director or c level that is a person of color. Go ahead, I'll wait. I hope that Paylocity actually works towards changing their culture, listens to their employees and does something about all of the inequality and inequity that happens within their organization. I'm hopeful that if more people speak up, voice their concerns, leave honest and truthful reviews on Glassdoor then things will change.
