Toxic environment. The culture of intimidation is the norm. Rude, abusive, incompetent management supported by HR. Management blatantly disregards the union contract, and if someone files a grievance, they harass and intimidate the nurse. Peacehealth has no competition in Whatcom County, and they believe it give them the permission to treat employees like crap. If you want to be treated like a human, move south where more employment opportunities, and you will be treated with respect.

Fast turnover of administrative leaders. No continuity. Poor communication between admin and staff in charge of patient care. Poor delivery of tools for work (EHR for example) making it hard to finish your work n a timely manner. Demands for productivity are increased nevertheless, which makes your feel like the "want great productivity, but give you poorly polish tools to achieve it". At least the salaries got better recently. If you look for life/work balance don't work for PH.
