Pros

I quit after 30 days.

Cons

This company seems oblivious to basic human dignity. Don't expect ethical codes of conduct promoting social equality within the workplace that lead to respect and fulfillment for all employees. The "tone form the top" is malicious and petty - beginning with the stereotypical arrogant and aloof, elitist physicians, to the frustrated ill -fated bitter nursing staff who must have realized early on in their careers that compassionate nursing was not their true calling. Expect rudeness, pettiness and a whole lot of ego - if the work of saving lives weren't so serious the whole matter would be laughable.

Pros

Love the nursing staff, dr's, and all other employees that work hard every day!

Cons

Even though there are wonderful people that work there, on the nursing units there is a negative attitude and low morale.

Pros

Wages and benefits better than retail or fast food

Cons

Always short staffed. Everyone including housekeepers, supply staff, required to wear hospital supplied shrubs to give appearance of more nursing staff than is actually there. Patients are always confused about who are actually medical staff. To much bullying from peers and management and no place to turn to for help. Union is totally in bed with management unless you are medical staff (nurses, doctors). Need more local input in management and from staff actually working with patients and less time spent by managers and supervisors in meetings shuffleing papers and making graphs trying to figure out how to make more money instead of being concerned with what truly would be most beneficial to patients and allow all staff, not just medical staff, to properly do their jobs. less micro managing from out of town bean pushers trying to impress investors. The patients and the employees are both being short changed the way things are run now. When the newest top brass is more concerned with decorating the walls than making sure equipment, supplies and staff are sufficiently provided, something is seriously wrong.
