Pros

The only Pro is that they offer higher wages. They do this because they cannot keep people. It is appealing at first but ultimately no amount of money is worth your sanity.

Cons

This organization is the worst place I have ever worked in my life. The leadership have their own personal agendas, and none of them stay long enough to actually accomplish anything. There is a major divide between the directors and managers. Directors don't communicate with their managers and the pay difference is huge between the two roles. HR doesn't care that women are being discriminated against because they are busy trying to be "politically correct" by preaching their mission of love and acceptance for all cultures. If you show that you are capable , leadership wont develop you or help you grow, they just give you more work until you are overloaded and then they admonish you for not keeping up. The expectations are unreal and it changes as soon as a new VP or Director comes in and changes everything.

Pros

Pay is pretty decent (above average for the area) and continuous pay increases are given as dictated in the union contract. Benefit's are also okay (Except the retirement plans). The Staff is absolutely amazing!

Cons

Covid has made retaining staff very difficult. Due to the location, it's difficult to get staff as it is because they essentially have to move their entire lively hood for the position. Management cannot offer compensation plans to compete with the travel positions offering 4-6K a week in California and New York, so getting travelers is difficult. The current staff is worked to the ground and almost no one will work OT because we're all so tired and overworked as it is. The hospital recently did an MDI to neb conversion and the timing couldn't have been worse. The floor loads are heavy and for the most part placed on one or two therapists. The retirement plan is mediocre with a 4% employer match. Most Seattle area hospitals offer a 6% match. And management is misguided . Covid has been an absolute nightmare and there are continuous process changes because management can never seem to get it right the first time.
