      Looks ok on paper, but caustic work environment due to Executive decisions.

      Pros

      Can help people in a way that really matters, if you are lucky enough to get the chance.

      Cons

      Rarely get the chance to actually help people. Was once patient oriented, but under current (some soon to be retiring) management it became all about the money. Vastly underpay on the principle that it is 'not for profit' and therefore wages are reduced. That would be fine if the disparity wasn't so much, and if the Executive Team took the same hit.

      Nurses are union (open shop) and salaries are commensurate with other local organizations

      Cons

      The heart of their stated mission is not evident in the actions of administration. Unfortunately, money and not people seem to be the bottom line.
