Generally, very lovely co-workers. Other nurses were very friendly and welcoming.

Cons

Pediatricians in Special Care Nursery have no consensus on treatment plans, patients are mismanaged because of it. There is no way to anticipate what next steps of care are because there are no policies/protocols, docs have to be paged for every step. The birth center is very micromanaged. You essentially have the ask the manager any question you have because there is no knowledge sharing. RNs literally wear trackers on their badge so management can know where you are at all times.

Good hourly wage. Benefits are good.

Cons

Greedy "non-profit" company. Does not value workers; workers are just an employee number. Short staffed, yet expectations high. Upper management likes to pretend they care about workers who care for patients, but actions speak louder than words. Positions keep getting cut to save money.

Cons

Literally have NEVER seen so much micromanaging in my 20 year career. Leadership even insists on what KEYSTROKES to use when code entering, and checks reports, that must be monitoring this, and "counseling" coders who do not meet their bizarre expectations.
