Pros

I can't say enough good things about this company. I'm so honored to be part of a team that draws out to best in one another, welcomes mistakes as opportunities for growth, and actually lives out its values. I've seen a lot of reviews on here questioning the work-life balance. For what it's worth, my experience has been incredible in that area. The unlimited PTO allows for travel, time with loved ones, and self-care. The company gives every employee a "Happiness Bonus" to use at their discretion but to encourage putting time and money into things that are life-giving for the individual. This company operates in a fast-paced industry and burn-out is entirely possible. However, I have observed an organizational commitment to a healthy work-life balance that is truly remarkable. If people are getting overwhelmed, they are encouraged by the organization to take advantage of the many benefits offered in order to embrace a healthy and joy-filled quality of life.

Cons

If you expect the company to regulate your work-life balance for you, this may not be the place for you. The company gives you everything you need to instill a healthy lifestyle with work; it's up to you whether you want to utilize those benefits.

Wow. Love this. Soon we will put a bullet point in our Job Descriptions about work life balance. We are also considering making it a part of our annual review process. If an employee is crushing it at work, but they admit they don't have work life balance, it may actually stop them from getting your full raise; that's right. Yes, this is how serious it is. Here at Velocity Global we take work life balance so seriously we will actually start to measure it. It is up to as owners of the business, yes, our employees all have equity in the company, making everyone an owner. It is up to us to build an amazing company, but we cannot do it if don't take care of ourselves. Thanks my fellow colleague for sharing your opinion and thoughts here on Glassdoor. Pros

I have been working in Velocity Global since April 2021 and it was been an awesome journey , working from home has giving me the flexibility to have work life balance , have the ability to visit family and friends more often. The culture of the company is amazing, I feel very supported by everyone in my team and across the whole organization and the true international environment experience is what makes the difference. I am thankful to have found this company.

Cons

I have no words on this disadvantage section because I am very thankful for this opportunity .

Ouch! That hurts. As your colleague, it saddens us to know you feel this way. Please help us make our company better by making your complaints known to our Business Partners. They will help you find balance, and they will also be able to give you a better appreciation for how we are managing our budgets for the long term. For those reading the is post we should probably share a few insight about Velocity Global. It is true Velocity Global doesn't pay above market salaries. We do this largely because we are committed to giving back to our employees and our communities in other ways. Example: Every October we have our annual company get-together. Every employee (and their plus one) is invited to fly out to the U.S. corporate office and spend the week with their peers. This happened last week and it was epic. Our international employees were also flown to Amsterdam. Everyone was put up for a week in very nice hotels in great locations. Everyone was given a per diem for travel and meals they could use at their own discretion, no questions asked. Our executive team and most employees, in essence the entire company, know and understand we are a fiscally responsible company. As owner-employees, it is our duty to pay attention to how we are spending the money in our departments. This means, we stick to our budgets and we try to avoid keeping up with the Joneses. By being fiscally responsible, we give up less equity to investors, which makes the employees' ownership in the company a large share of the pie -- more valuable for the employees. This means additional wealth for our employees is created through equity, which complements their salaries. Lastly, work life balance is critical and very important here at Velocity Global, so much so, we have an unlimited PTO policy. Every employee can take as much time as they need, when needed. That being said, there are times when everyone has to put in more time and effort to get things done because we are client-focused company with the desire to ensure our clients' success. As owner-employees, we know the more effort we put into each other and our work, the more we will get out of such efforts through our achievements, enjoyment and our shared ownership.
