Flexibility is Key

Pros

The workload of this job comes in waves. So some days there's almost nothing to do & you can enjoy a long lunch or afternoon off.

Cons

Your job responsibilities change on a weekly basis. The company is constantly in flux. They create departments & teams, then fire said departments and teams for a restructure. Quite literally no one knows what's going on half the time & it takes at least a week to get any answers from other departments (finance, rev ops, security, etc.)

Thank you for your feedback. Change can get a little awkward, especially at the rate we have grown over the last few years. Please know that the Employee Experience team has an open door policy, please reach out anytime to talk more and discuss how we can continue to improve.

Growing fast without a true sense of direction

Pros

- Fast-growing with no signs of slowing down, which is exciting to be a part of. There is so much opportunity in this line of business, and Velocity Global was one of the first to break into the market, so they have that advantage. - Many different departments and roles to get into - The office space is great (although it is getting outgrown rapidly) - Some of the people are genuinely kind and helpful.

Cons

- Leadership seems to be on different pages on a multitude of topics/issues, especially with expansion and the evolution of roles. Some of the higher ups do not seem very trustworthy, and will throw you under the bus if and when needed to save their own skin. - While there is some sense of teamwork, it seems to be more of a facade than anything else. It is more of an "every man for himself" deal, especially when things get tough or don't go precisely according to plan, no matter how far-fetched or off-base said "plan" is. Be careful not to let yourself become the scapegoat or outsider. - There is an obvious case of selective accountability. There are "core values" in place, yet not everyone is held to the same standards. - It is difficult to be heard since leadership sits in meetings all day every day with incredibly limited interaction with the people who are carrying out their vision. You will rarely, if ever, be given an opportunity to speak up or out. - Way more sales-minded than customer service oriented. Obviously sales help drive the company's growth, but the customer service team could barely keep up and nobody seems to care. You will work long, hard, thankless hours and always be expected to do even more. - Below average pay for Denver
