Pros
- Awesome company culture! Despite having 5+ office locations (and the fact that we are all remote for the time being), there is so much opportunity to get to know your colleagues in different departments.
- Within the product and engineering department, we are a small but mighty team. Everyone is dedicated to building the best product that will help our partners grow their business. Over the course of the last year, we have taken up a huge initiative to rebuild Peek Pro from the ground up. Because of this, the team can move fast and continue to build new features on a stable and reliable code base.
- The strong leadership team is what drew me to Peek. They set clear goals and strategies to drive the business forward, while also allowing for input from team members on how we will achieve these goals. Leadership also invests heavily in their employees - there is no shortage of opportunities to take on at Peek, and employees are frequently recognized and promoted. While they had to make some tough decisions earlier in the year due to COVID, they have been transparent every step of the way.
- COVID Response: Working in the travel industry during COVID was scary at first - but Peek has rebounded in a way we didn’t think possible. While we went from a slow spring/early summer, we saw $50 million in bookings in July and continue to break our monthly sales records since! So while not as many people are flying to new destinations, people are still getting out and exploring their own backyard.
Cons
Due to uncertainty with COVID, some benefits have been put on hold. I expect that these will be brought back once things “get back to normal”.
