Love My Job with Peek

Pros

I really enjoy going to work each day, yes there are long hours and hard work, but that's why it's fulfilling. I worked for years in an industry that wouldn't notice if I wasn't there, in fact, they probably still don't know I'm gone. I love coming to an office where we communicate, get along, and collaborate and critique each other's work in an effort to improve individually and as a whole and work on a product we are passionate about. We video chat with our SF office daily for meetings, no tired conference calls here. We have fun, we have food, music, picnics, travel, and off sites, but most important is we all work our butts off for a focused goal and commitment to our customers and improving our product. I can honestly say I've never worked for a business that cares so much about the ability of their product, their perception of their customers and their employees. If you like to travel and adventure this is a great place to work.

Cons

Our day to day process is still catching up with our strategy and visions. A startup first, we put our passions into the product and our customers. There are some frustrations with process management such as how to handle a certain situation, tools, and resources. This improves each day, however, and adds to the fun of growing a business, everyone's opinion and experience are put towards the next solution.

Pros

- Management is excellent in all departments. They strive to help you in any way possible. Their goal is to help you succeed and truly do care about their peers they manage not only from a business aspect but on a personal level as well. - The culture is vibrant and fun. They do an excellent job finding people that not only fit the culture but the culture fits them. - They truly care about their employees and thrive to make sure everyone is happy and rewarded for the hard work that is put in with fun activities, promotions, bonuses, etc. - There is lots of room for growth in your own personal development/career. - Travel opportunities across the country and world.

Cons

- It's a start up so there are going to be some long hours. So be prepared to work like you have never worked before. Where much is given, much is received is especially true here. So if you are looking for a job to just be lazy and browse the internet, then this is not the job for you. The people that thrive here are hard working/proactive employees who go above and beyond their normal "job description".

Pros

The company has an awesome culture and I've gotten plenty of support from management thus far. Compensation is decent.

Cons

No HR department yet, but I know that's something they're working on. We are a start up after all.
