Pros

I have been with Pella for 21 years. I started in scheduling/purchasing stayed there for 12 years then moved into my current role as Business Analyst II. I showed interest in my current position and they offered me on the job training. I have worked for several companies and I have never seen or been treated as I have with Pella. I feel like I have a stake in the business. My opinion matters and sometimes it might not be the right one but they still listen to me and give me feedback. When the economy took a turn for the worst several years back they did everything they could to try to keep the entire workforce in tact. They went to great measures and actually took a big hit to the budget to keep people employed. That said a lot to everyone here. Even in the past 18 months the concern for everyone was very apparent. I have yet to see anyone treated as a number and not an individual. They are willing to invest in the people as long as the people are willing to progress. We have a very diverse group in the location I work in. We gets lots of comments from people visiting our site how the people are very engaged and smiling. I feel that says a lot.

Cons

I have nothing bad to say here.

Pros

Cares about Employees. Considers employee interest in area that they want to grow. Offers Rotational development opportunity to explore different areas helping employee to find the one they love.

Cons

Pella prefers open mindedness - you don't get if you don't ask for it. So we need to be open in one-on-ones with leads/managers/directors of whether you like/dislike what you are doing and discuss about interests & career goals.
