Pros

Great people and great products. The company sincerely cares about their customers and takes their reputation seriously. There is a lot of training assistance and they push you to be creative. Their pay is comparable to other companies and their benefits were wonderful. I was able to polish my conflict resolution skills because I was empowered to really take care of the customer. My job had lots of flexibility, my manager and the entire management staff were wonderful.

Cons

Lots of upward mobility if you want to go to the corporate office, but there wasn't much for the field reps. On the plus side, they encouraged you to shadow other positions and attend trainings (or graduate school) give you opportunities to grow.

Pros

Excellent national brand recognition. Lots of freedom day today to run your territory as you see fit. Uncapped earnings, however straight commission with draw.

Cons

Definitely a lone wolf type of sales position, Poor training. A learn by mistakes mentality. Sales support is poor. Expect to wear many hats (Service tech, delivery driver, collections). Plan on competing with national accounts selling your brand and other sales people from your office for the same jobs.
