Growing Company with Many Career Opportunity

Pros

Lots of opportunity to grow and move up if you are a dedicated employee. Consistent company financial growth. Great coworkers. Interesting work. Very relaxed atmosphere with work from home options for certain departments. Women's Leadership, tuition reimbursement and career training.

Cons

Pay is low when compared against industry standards. Increase pay and hire for quality in call center. With the exception of a few areas the office space is very dated and not optimized for collaboration and quiet spaces. On boarding is inconsistent. Policies are outdated. Employee experience varies greatly depending on department. Culture is improving but not enough time and budget dedicated yet. Company profits are growing significantly each year but that money is not reinvested in employees, office space, technology.

Pros

Career advancement: I have been promoted three times. People have taken time to mentor me and help me to learn and grow. Company mission: they are genuinely committed to helping students change their lives for the better. Good Pay: it is a performance culture, so if you perform well you will be rewarded.

Cons

Not enough brand recognition. This has improved recently, but the company is still not very well-known.

Trying to scale in all the wrong ways

Business Outlook

Pros

Collegial environment and a true emphasis on improving the employability of all students

Cons

There is currently no long-term vision for growth. Business units are being re-organized and product lines created haphazardly in an effort to "innovate," but this leads to highly inefficient uses of resources. Roles are being added based on current needs without an eye toward the future, and are constantly being dismantled or re-defined. Additionally, for a company dedicated towards growing the skills of its students, they certainly don't invest in their employees like they should
