Pros

The people and the growth you can have in the company. You bond over venting about the cons below.

Cons

The current leadership in the Northeast area is terrible. They look for constant scapegoats and go against the company culture of coaching and mentoring by using negative reinforcement. No matter what you do and how well you do it, you will never get a thank you but rather what can you do for me now? If you have an issue do not go to HR, they will sweep it under the rug and protect their friends that are in the "club". I had a major issue arise against someone in the "club" and went through every avenue that was provided and suggested by the company (i.e. upper management, filing a report, etc). I was told to "forget about company policy." If you are not in the "club" you will have a sense of constant unwelcomeness. If you have a voice, don't bother using it because it will get you pushed out. The pay and company car may sound good when you move up but the amount of hours you put in is uncharacteristic compared to many other companies (i.e. on call 24/7, working 7 days a week, etc). If you miss a call because you have a life outside of work when you get the chance, you will get yelled at. You will get on average 100-125 emails a day. Bonus structure is very slow (annual) and archaic.

Pros

They reward the best performer not the most tenured

Cons

At points it can’t be extremely stressful. We don’t have too many associates so if you’re short staffed then you’re focused to do everything

Pros

It's a job. Better than unemployment.

Cons

As an employee over 10 years, I find the company continues to go in the wrong direction. This company is so behind the times. They don't have a comprehensive computer infrastructure. The companies practices, strategies and technologies they attempt use to manage the process' and are archaic. To do your sales job, you are a data entry clerk into Salesforce, As400, Business Intelligence and other systems which do not talk to each other, or share information. Very manual process. Salaried and commission, they have cut the commission plans 2 times and each time impact was great. Now they are implementing a 6 day work week once a month. Come in on a Saturday for 5 hours, to drive around a specific territory, even if it is not in your sales territory, to write down companies and names that could be attained through a purchase of software. Instead, send out sales people from rental and lease on Saturday morning. Makes no sense. We are micro-managed, understaffed and they expect perfection from you, but don't give you the tools to accomplish it. Sadly, next week is my last day. I won't be the last who is fed up.
