      Has its issues but it's better then many others

      Pros

      They are an equal opportunity company. If you can do basic math, understand a basic ruler, and understand basic English you can be a product builder here. Most people are friendly and very welcoming but not everyone. If you're vocal and motivated about moving up you will be given opportunities to do so. Its good pay, pretty good insurance, and some opportunities for optional overtime.

      Cons

      Poor communication between departments that can cause unnecessary slow downs. Some leads and supervisors favor specific ethnicities more. If you want to move up, expect to work harder then a lot of your peers, including many of your superiors.

      Penumbra puts employees first during Coronavirus pandemic

      Pros

      Early on in the pandemic, Penumbra, Inc’s executive team made swift, appropriate actions to preserve ALL (and I mean each and every) employee. Putting the global Penumbra team first, execs regularly communicated important information regarding the pandemic and stay-at-home orders to employees. While other companies instituted pay cuts and layoffs, Penumbra makes continuous efforts to support and retain employees. I feel like my job is going nowhere due to the pandemic - incredible place to work right now.

      Cons

      Various teams receive occasional preferential treatment based on middle management’s ability to propose and justify additional resources for their teams.
