Pros

- Gives back to the community - free coffee

Cons

- Mistreated the production staff. There should be a UNION to actually protect employees since HR does not know or care to. - very little diversity on the corporate side, white women does not mean you are diverse. - HR was not very competent and did they actually help when I complained about being discriminated against. They actually made the situation worse because they told the person I had complained and I felt like I had to quit because I was so uncomfortable and was mistreated more. - One of the recruiters was very inappropriate with an employee and nothing happened. - Underpays many roles, especially the production staff which happens to be mostly minorities. - No real values.

Pros

marketing team is great with good focus on improving current product line.

Cons

a lot about the charm of penumbra has been lost. it no longer is the company to work for. as for the sales team, the rapid growth has made the company operate like a cut throat Bard type where they are looking for the next 'weak link' to cut. they no longer look from within to promote, they look for people with non vascular experience who are male jocks to act as the rep while depending on the clinicals to do all the dirty work, in a particular part of the company, there is a particular area director who clearly favors males over females. The CEO also made a poor judgement call on launching two new products at nearly the same time. I think you should reconsider if you are looking at Penumbra. The amount of call/after hour is not worth the amount of money they pay you. Maybe thats why no one with vascular experience will join the company.

Pros

You have a job that pays the bills

Cons

Everything else that comes with the job. Drama within coworkers, uncared for by the supervisors. Lack of action by HR/management. Incompetent HR, with no sort of resolution or action. Out of touch supervisors/managers/directors. MULTIPLE compliance issues. A couple of perverted/unprofessional/insulting/inappropriate supervisors. What else. You need to sign in/out if you need to use the bathroom break as if you are a child in gradeschool, (sounds like a bathroom break violation anyone? ) There is not a single thing that can be said that’s good about this company excluding a couple of genuine good people. I don’t understand how this company is still running. I’m expecting there to be at least a couple handful of lawsuits in the coming future.
