Retention Bonuses are offered to keep you from jumping contracts. But they tend to change benefits structure out of nowhere.

Cons

They tend to change benefits structure out of nowhere. Claimed my 401k contributions were fully vested but changed that once they had a large exit to other contracts/companies.
