Pros

Really flexible schedule and work environment for on-shore employees.

Cons

Its a conglomerate of small specialized consultancies acquired and merged over time. It was bought out by private equity in 2024 and taken off the public market. The new CEO is from Accenture. Salaries haven't gone up for over 2 years. Anyone who has been able to get one has it in the form of a 1-year retention bonus. In other words, you have to give it back if you leave before the years up. Up to 5 changes in direct supervisor in the past 6 months. Even if you have a good boss their advocacy means nothing for your career at the moment. With the new CEO and rebrand came a full tilt pivot into AI. The plan boils down to using AI to figure out the plan to become more profitable using AI. In theory, this is circular logic gen ai is ill equiped to handle. In execution, this leads to uncapped token usage with no guarantees of profit.

Pros

- Some very nice people, including some I've worked with in the past. However, this is largely dependent on getting staffed on the right projects. - The health insurance isn't bad. Maybe a little more costly than some other companies but definitely not the worst. - Bonuses have been based on individual performance in the past and seem to be holding, but that is changing.

Cons

- No visibility into sales pipeline, but the word was it is non-existent as evidenced by people on the bench and not getting assignments - Most assignments are staff augmentation, not consulting. This means you are mostly on your own without the support of the larger team and do what the client tells you to do by filling a seat instead of driving innovation and being a valued advisor. - Pay is below the industry average. I took a pay cut to come on board. - Staffing in our practice used to be handled by a single person and was proactive. Now it is distributed across the client teams as they use AI tools to search for matching talent. And the talent tool is lacking and doesn't capture a true picture of the resource. - Lip service to being an AI-First company while not having the leading industry AI toolset to equip their employees. Some bad decisions on partnerships with questionable AI tool producers and no buy in from clients. - Quiet layoffs with no communication to the remaining employees, even when asked directly about it. There is little transparency into these decisions and that affects morale. - Move to industry vertical reporting structure means your manager may not even understand your role or be able to mentor you in it.
