Pros
The employees are generally extremely smart and talented. The culture is not very competitive, so employees are very willing to share knowledge. Senior employees take mentoring very seriously. The management is accessible, competent, and friendly. The pay is fair, and managers have the flexibility to give good raises. There are plenty of growth opportunities. The company is very nimble, and can act quickly on ideas. The organization is very flat, and no one pulls rank. Ideas can come from any level of the organization. Hiring practices are based off of qualifications, not quotas.
Cons
Consulting sometimes feels like temp work when placed on staff augmentation projects. Although the Perficient employees are great to work with, the clients aren't nearly as competent. Job security is non-existent. The organization is very fragmented and dispersed across the entire country, so it is easy to feel disconnected. Although the company has 1500 employees, for most people, it will feel like less than 100. Sometimes promotions are granted to H1B workers to help their status at the expense of native workers. The 401k plan is substandard. There is so much talent, it may be difficult to get promoted.
