Pros

The medical and 401(k) benefits were decent. The salary was comparable to the Richmond, VA market and the severance package was decent. Two weeks vacation after 1 year, 6 paid holidays and 4 paid personal days.

Cons

IT service and support has taken a hit due to IT outsourcing. Privately owned company looking to go public at the expense of employees and American jobs.

Pros

Despite the chaos, one pro of this job was that it taught me to think That on my feet and solve problems quickly. With constant operational mistakes and lack of support, I became adept at managing crisis and finding creative solutions under pressure.

Cons

Working at this company was a bit like being the only sober guy at a bachelor party- chaotic, confusing, and full of poor decisions. Support? Non existent. The culture? Think “Game Thrones”, but with fewer dragons and more back stabbing. Favoritism was rampant and I was always on the losing end. I spent more time handling will calls and delivering product in my own car than actually selling, thanks to our operations team’s Scratch constant errors and our resident buyers’ knack of under ordering. Management? Left me out to dry faster than a wet dog in the desert. My DSM? He passed me off more times than a hot potato in a room full of people with no oven mitts. And the head honcho’s relationship with an underling, which was as subtle as a sledgehammer and right in everyone’s face. This job was a never-ending parade of absurdity and frustration. If you value your sanity, stay far away .

Pros

Before getting paid by production (cases picked), you get a 90 day grace period where you work hourly at $18.00 to work on increasing your production rate.

Cons

5 Days a week working long days. I would come in at 10AM get of at 3AM the next morning and then had to be ready the next day to come back in at 10AM again. The average hours for a work week is 60 hours which is alot to do continuosly. Also management tries to pressure you into working a 6th "short" day which is still a 10-hour day.
