Pros

Things were good years before restructuring. Used to have friendly cultures, people work interdependently towards one goal.

Cons

Since 2017, PerkinElmer had turned into one of the most cutthroat organization, as many former GE staffs filled up the management, turning the whole organization into a toxic workculture.

Avoid if looking for a progressive and socially moral firm

Pros

PerkinElmer lab instruments and services: You will still find talented, honest and good employees working below the senior management level. A few leading products still survive the marketing strategies and competition.

Cons

For the senior officers (all but one are non-scientists/engineers) this science & technology company seems to be a vehicle for personal share options rewards. Almost all recent business strategies and internal projects (dutifully and ruthlessly carried out by amoral senior managers) appear to prove this. PerkinElmer have 'reduced the bottom line' by firing R&D teams and re-badging instruments from far-east or former competitor OEM. Few can see this as sustainable. PerkinElmer's foreign corporation tax commitment is similar to the high profile stories for Starbucks/Google/Amazon etc.

Pros

Good people, willing to work hard Good brand name (still)

Cons

After selling it to NMC and with new CEO on place. There’s no focused on company growth, management only interested in EBITA. Work moral, ethics are decreasing day by day. Highest attrition rate of 22%, and almost everyone is looking to jump the ship. Benefits are plummeting faster than ever, beware.
