Pros

I can’t think about any pros.

Cons

Don’t be fooled by the flood of fake 5-star reviews, as they don’t reflect what actually happens at PermitFlow. The two founders are clowns that have no idea of what they are doing. In the past six months alone, PermitFlow has hired and fired people at a disturbing pace. They constantly overestimate incoming work, rush to hire, and then lay people off when things don’t go as expected. It’s not just poor planning, it’s careless. People are uprooting their lives, committing to the company, and then getting blindsided when leadership decides to “pivot” again. To make matters worse, the company is now trying to boost profits by pushing more work onto a few full-time employees while outsourcing as much as possible to cheaper offshore labor. It’s a race to the bottom, and the people who stay are left exhausted, unsupported, and burning out fast. Work-life balance is nonexistent—and frankly, they just don’t care. It’s painful to watch talented people be set up to fail because leadership doesn’t know how to build a sustainable or respectful workplace. Stay away from PermitFlow.

Pros

PermitFlow is an early stage startup so there is a ton of work to do. If you're like me and thrive with a full plate of tasks - 'drinking from the firehose' as they say - you'll love it here. Excellent product market fit, not much competition, and a large TAM are a great recipe for this company to really take off. In-office perks like forkable lunch and frequent happy hours/team-building events are a huge postiive. Leadership is great, too, made up of extremely intelligent and motivated people. As a middle manager, Francis is a great CEO, it's refreshing and motivating to have a leader who truly cares about every single aspect of the business. I've said throughout my career - "I never want to feel like the smartest person in the room in a leadership meeting" and I haven't felt anywhere close to that at PermitFlow!

Cons

PermitFlow is an early-stage startup -- there's a lot of work to do. If you don't want to work hard, can't think on your feet, and don't adapt to change well this wouldn't be a great place to work

Pros

Cross- functional collaboration encouraged Smaller team = more visibility Open to new ideas + methodology, if you can support them with data "Fail fast" mindset Unlimited PTO (people actually use it) WFH stipend Hybrid workplace Clear path to promotion Robust tech stack In office lunch provided (+ dinner if you stay past 7pm)

Cons

Communication could be better, some unnecessary "telephone game" style conversations "40 hour work week" is possible for very few employees, & none that are top performers Sales incentives aren't aligned with long term company goals No summer Fridays
