Pros

Different locations are better than others. First management we had was good, but new management was not very good. Can be fun if you have the right group.... You learn new things... Loved the job in the beginning... Yet can't think of anything really good about it now... It can be fun

Cons

-The company itself doesn't make very good decisions. They deliberately change sections in a way so that products are overlapping and don't fit right. Also they have the new resets to be done Sunday nights when the people who do those overnights are the same people that have to get up super early in the morning to do stocking; it screws up with peoples schedules, but they don't care. Multiple times we have to redo sections with pieces that we are supposed to have, but don't and usually never get. You can also ask multiple times for a problem to be corrected, but never does.In general they do a lot of things that make it more difficult for employees to do their job. -In my location management makes a lot of broken promises. They want their bonuses so they don't schedule enough people to go below payroll. Yet get upset when store ratings go down. They don't respect lower level managers. -It's not a "team" environment. Company/management won't fire associates that desperately need firing, and they agree, but just won't do it.

Pros

If you enjoy working with animals and educating customers about pets, give Petsmart a try. They people I worked with were fun and knowledgeable. The environment is relaxed and friendly. Getting new pets is always exciting.

Cons

Just be aware their salaries are low and hours can be horrible. They also don't offer much training for store associates.

Pros

flexible hours and schedule, 5 day work week, management pays attention, good employees to work with, if you love pets its a fun place to work...

Cons

pretty little starting pay and the raises if you even get one are nothing! they care too much for the numbers. they dont like making people full time because they dont want to pay or give the benefits. part time = 36 hours and no benefits!!!
