      Its not bad at all.... If its your first job!

      Pros

      Its a great entry level job. You work hard, don't question things you will move up fast. If your younger and at school, live with your parents its great. Full timers receive good benefits. If you need to make a living, look elsewhere.

      Cons

      Negativity, Low pay, gossip and rumor. If you work as a stocker/pet products associate expect to work at $7.50 - $9.00 an hour, but you WILL have to do the manual labor work of a person who is paid $12.00 - $15.00 an hour elsewhere. I enjoy hard work, but the pay was honestly lousy.

      1) The ability to work with a limited variety of animals 2) The atmosphere is generally friendly 3) Procedures exist to reward good job performance

      Cons

      1) Overemphasis on making every customer happy (impossible in certain circumstances) 2) Some â??pet parentsâ? can be a bit eccentric 3) Can be a bit of a messy workplace for obvious reasons 4) Corporate cash management and stocking systems are very dated and ineffective

      Pros

      the benefits are good. one free wellness plan with banfield is nice. can be a very positive environment, especially with a great manager.

      Cons

      management team seems very incompetent. long, tedious hours. and some customers are beyond crazy! yes, it's retail, so we smile and try to help. not all managers are on the same page when it comes to handling customer complaints.
