      Pros

      Its the best place i have ever worked. By working hard and showing how much i care for the animals and my co-workers i have been rewarded with promotion after promotion. In less then a year and a half i worked my way up from bather all the way to A.S.M.. Way to many people cry about not getting paid enough. For a guy with no college education or management experience i would say my pay is well over what they could've paid me! Petco is a great place to work you just have to have passion to work there.

      Cons

      Payroll is the only downside.

      Petco, fun but rough

      Pros

      You are around pets constantly which is a great thing for all the pet lovers out there. When you are in a horrible mood, you can brighten your day by taking out a conure or a ferret. The best part is really the 20 percent discount that you recieve, which is a blessing when you have tons of animals.

      Cons

      The payroll is extremely limited by far where the GM and ASMs are having to do the brunt of all the work. Being the highest paid stocker sounds nice in theory; however, that is also the problem...you are doing nothing but merchandise. There's not really a such thing as management when you are an assistant because you are constantly doing the "helps' " work.

      pretty good place to work

      Pros

      working with the animals and personal pets that come into the store. working with some pretty good peole who care for the animals more then just the bottom line. good chance for advancement. the turn over rate is about normal for retail. the comunication from nsc to the field is pretty good and getting better, we are kept up to date as to what is going on.

      Cons

      goals that are at times not possible to achieve. the pay could be better for what the company expects for results and the hours you must put in. the benefits are about inline for what other companies offer.
