Pros

Morale is high. Administration sees employees as the real driving force to the success of the hospital. Patients are respected. Co-workers are encouraged to pat each other on the back. Thank you notes are sent regularly to recognize compliments from co-workers. It's just a great environment.

Cons

When you're working for the best, it's easy to forget how bad some people really have it and to take things for granted (especially in a small town like Kerrville).

friendly caring staff, good pay, employee discounts, payroll deduction, behavioral standards that encourage teamwork, respect, and strong ethics; supervisors and managers listen to staff suggestions for improvement, flexible scheduling, Paid Time Off, Sick Leave, Holiday Pay, night and weekend differential pay, 401K match, Medical benefits, scholarships for healthcare fields, Referral bonuses, organizational focus to deliver the mission of providing exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Cons

understaffing in a few departments, but HR is working on recruiting for those positions.
